PENTACLE feat. Gen Z – 4: Karanlık Ekoloji / Dark Ecology

Dr. Başak Ağın’ın verdiği Çevreci Beşerî Bilimlere Giriş dersinin sunumları için Betül Süeda Soylu, Berkay Yücel, Ece Erdem, İrem Demirci, Zeynep Öykü Ercan ve Mirza Mert Erdoğan tarafından (görsel için Yapay Zeka yardımıyla) hazırlanmıştır. For our poster and presentation, we heavily valued our selected term’s meaning, going right at the core of it. Having an old marble sculpture/statue that is covered by leaves, vines. A product of past human craftsmanship covered in the everlasting green takeover of nature is one of the most prime ways to convey what the term dark ecology truly means.

We all had this similar idea, maybe sometimes a bit different here and there, but due to how new this term was, it was rather difficult to come up with something else. We came to an understanding that it had a reasonable cause to potentially mess up what we thought dark ecology was and what it really is: a process of accepting truth in the most true it can exist. No sugarcoating, no glazing over minute details, but seeing it as it is and trying to make the class understand the very core of the term. The very core is not only acknowledging it, but also accepting it in its own way as it existed against our very biased, rose-tinted glasses. To let go of any perspectives that may sway the truth of reality, whatever reality is, and however it may exist, we must accept it and see it as it is. In this way, we can finally reach that light that some tend to miss or just completely be blind towards.

Posterimiz ve sunumumuz için seçtiğimiz terimin anlamına büyük önem verdik, aslında tam da özüne indik. Yapraklarla, sarmaşıklarla kaplı eski bir mermer heykele/heykele sahip olmak. Geçmiş insan işçiliğinin bir ürünü, doğanın sonsuz yeşil örtüsüyle kaplanmış. Karanlık ekoloji teriminin gerçekte ne anlama geldiğini anlatmanın en iyi yollarından biri.

Hepimiz benzer bir fikre sahiptik, ayrıştığımız yerler olsa da bu terimin çokyeni olması nedeniyle alternatif bir isim bulmak oldukça zordu. Sonunda karanlık ekolojinin makul bir tanımını yapabildik: Gerçeği var olabileceği en doğru şekilde kabul etme süreci. Amacımız, karanlık ekolojinin doğayı sadece olduğu gibi görmek olduğunu sınıfa anlatmaya çalışmaktı. Bu öz sadece onu kabul etmek değil, aynı zamanda bizim önyargılı pembe gözlüklerimize rağmen var olduğu şekliyle kabul etmektir. Gerçekliği saptırabilecek her türlü bakış açısını bir kenara bırakmak ve gerçekliği ne olursa olsun, nasıl var olursa olsun, onu kabul etmemiz ve o şekilde görmemiz gerektiğini görmektir. Böylece bazılarının gözden kaçırmaya meyilli olduğu ya da tamamen kör olduğu o ışığa nihayet ulaşabiliriz.
